For the past four years, Lil’ Wayne dealt with delays, personal disputes with Birdman, lawsuits centered around his contractual obligations with Cash Money Records and the pending status of Tha Carter V. Weezy F. Baby got his wish earlier this year, when a settlement was agreed upon and Lil’ Wayne was released from the label he called home since the start of his career. The New Orleans rapper celebrates his freedom, solely under Young Money Records, with the release of his much-anticipated 12th studio album.

Album Stream: Logic ‘YSIV’

After the chart-topping Bobby Tarantino II, Logic returns with his second project of 2018. YSIV (Young Sinatra 4) is lead by the Ryan Tedder-featured single, “One Day.” Records like “The Return” and “Everybody Dies” also make the 14-song LP.

Wale, Jaden Smith, Big Lenbo, Hailee Steinfeld, and The Rat Pack all make guest appearances. The most anticipated record off the album “Wu-Tang Forever,” pairs Logic with all living members of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan. Out now everywhere.

New Mixtape: Kevin Gates ‘Luca Brasi 3

Kevin Gates started the new year off on a positive note, granted release from prison. After returning to the music with the Chained to the City EP in May, Gates now drops his first full-length project. The New Orleans rapper continues the Luca Brasi series with the third installment. Luca Brasi 3 is 19 new tracks, with titles like “Adding Up,” “Me Too,” “Great Man” and “Money Long.”

New Music: Kodak Black “If I’m Lyin, I’m Flyin”

Kodak Black’s 2018 has been marred by legal issues and serving time in jail. Since his release from jaillast month, the Pompano Beach rapper popped up on Gucci Mane’s new single “Wake Up in the Sky”with Bruno Mars. The face of Sniper Gang is now back with a new solo record called “If I’m Lyin, I’m Flyin,” touching on the highs and lows.
